How SkyNet Fits
SkyNet is the software layer between a site's sensors and its effectors. It does not replace equipment already in place — it connects to it through open defense interfaces and turns separate feeds into one assessment and one coordinated response.
The left and right columns are the customer's. SkyNet is the center column — the fusion, classification, assessment and tasking that turn sensor data into a decision, plus the networking and navigation services that keep it working when the environment is contested.
The commander sits outside the chain, not inside it. Rules of engagement are set by the commander, and the software operates within them.
